I’m honored to have visited with another growing family this spring. I was privileged to document Mom and Dad’s wedding years ago and big sister, Olivia’s, first year, which is hard to believe was 4 years ago. And now, I enjoyed snuggling little sister, Charlotte Julianna for her in-home newborn session. I was so proud of big sister, Olivia, and impressed by her enthusiasm, because she hasn’t always been the biggest fan of my camera pointed in her direction. LOL But she is so excited about her new status as big sister, she couldn’t give us enough big smiles and snuggles with her new little sister! Mom said they had ‘prepped’ her in advance of the session, but it appears Olivia is a natural nurturer and not much coaxing was needed. So cute!
Little Charlotte has the sweetest mushy cheeks and the most adorable set of scrunched lips. All her baby details made me swoon. I loved her purple mermaid-theme nursery. And grandma helped carry the theme with the crocheted mermaid set. The funny thing is, Charlotte posed practically all on her own for that shot. Hahaha – she’s a natural, too! She cooperated throughout the majority of her session (she had to show up her big sister, I suppose, since her newborn session had been a bit more challenging, as Mom reminded me – haha). And as you will see, Charlotte enjoyed her snuggles with mama and daddy, as much as her big sister. The smile in mama’s arms – priceless. I look forward to seeing little Miss Charlotte throughout her first year!
