Jacob's Bar Mitzvah at Loft 433

Jacob celebrated his Bar Mitzvah last weekend surrounded by supportive family and friends. His celebration was held at Loft 433 in Troy, NY, following his ceremony at Congregation Gates of Heaven in Schenectady, NY. As a sports enthusiast, Jacob’s Bar Mitzvah theme centered around basketball, baseball, and golf. His teammates were there to celebrate with him, and he honored them by including them in his candle lighting ceremony.

This event was especially meaningful for me to photograph, since I also had the privilege of capturing Jacob’s parents’ wedding more than 16 years ago. It’s always such an honor to follow families through these important milestones. 

What a gorgeous evening for some outdoor portraits before the celebration began. Like most typical young men, Jacob wasn’t exactly thrilled about being in front of the camera, but he absolutely nailed his poses!  

DJ Todd Moffre kept the energy going all night with fun games and great music.  And it was great to see longtime videographer friend Dale Himelrick from Memories in the Making.

Mazel Tov, Jacob!  Your hard work paid off.  Your family, especially, Mom, Dad and sister, Ella, are so proud of you!
