Kara & Tarry's Pat's Barn Wedding
By: Jenn Moak Photography
Having witnessed many wedding trends evolve over the years, I recall when traditional ceremonies began most often in a church, complete with the bride and groom seeing each other for the first time as they walked down the aisle. Nowadays, on-site ceremonies featuring first looks and pre-ceremony photos have taken precedence, making the classic approach feel more unique. I appreciate both styles for their distinct charm.
Kara & Tarry chose to embrace the timeless tradition I once knew, opting for no first look and limited pre-ceremony coverage. This decision allowed for heightened anticipation and tender moments exchanged during the ceremony. Their first glance took place at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Cohoes, where they radiated joy as they made their way toward each other on the aisle and stole glances at their guests throughout the ceremony.
The festivities continued at Pat's Barn, with Nicole's Catering dishing up delicious eats. The cake was crafted by one of Kara's friends. And of course, I could not overlook the charming details that included their beloved pup Lola, ensuring her spirit was a part of their memorable day.DJ Tony from Platinum Entertainment kept the crowd on their feet for most of the night.
Upon arrival, we took full advantage of the lovely grounds for family and wedding party portraits. Fall colors were just starting to kiss the trees and provided a fabulous background for the October wedding vibes. Flowers by Pesha also harnessed the warm, yummy colors in the floral displays. Kara and Tarry's connection was heartwarming, and my camera truly enjoyed capturing their moments together!
Congratulations, Kara & Tarry! Thank-you so much for including me in your special day. It was truly a pleasure working with you and your families. I wish you all the joy you felt that day for many years to come, and may it multiply tenfold.
